Funzone is our wraparound care facility for children in our school from Reception to Year 6. It is a play, creative and relaxation space. Children can complete homework as part of their session and staff will assist if numbers allow, it is not a formal homework club.

Funzone is located in its own dedicated room with kitchen facilities. Activities are based around a theme and vary on a weekly basis, for example: Art and Crafts, Films, Computing, Board games, outside play and also an opportunity to complete homework. During the warmer months, the children also have the opportunity to use the school pool when it is open on a set night at no extra cost.

For children who attend Nursery 1 or 2 we offer Teeny Funzone.

Our Aim is that: Children can enjoy breakfast or after school care in a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.

Everyone dropping off or collecting from Teeny/Funzone will need to park outside of the grounds and walk onto the site using the pedestrian gate (on signing the  Funzone Terms and Conditions you will be sent the current code). Please then walk directly to the access door, either at Nursery or through the main playground to the Funzone door.  There is no parking available on site. Children are not allowed to walk round unaccompanied. Children remain the responsibility of the parent/carer until they are handed to a member of the Funzone team.

Funzone will be swimming on Tuesday and Thursday (when the pool is open).

Children in receipt of Pupil Premium sessions may only book one swimming session per week (Thursday).

Booking

• Before booking your first session, you will need to sign the Terms and Conditions of Funzone document which can be completed by following the link below.
• Booking for paid sessions is available through Scopay up to 24 hours in advance.
• If you are unable to book through Scopay contact the school office. The office team are unable to override if the session is showing as full.
• Late booking requests can be made by phoning the office team on 01252 328589.  There is a late booking fee of £3 applicable if not booked 24 hours in advance
• Cancellation fees apply if 1 working day notice is not given.

Payment for Funzone is in advance by Childcare Vouchers or using our online payment system Scopay.

Service Children

In recognition of the issues that some Service families can face when trying to access wraparound childcare, the Secretary of State for Defence has launched The Wraparound Childcare (WAC) scheme. 

Service families can check if they are eligible and how to claim WAC funding by visiting the Discover My Benefits website.
