Dear Parents/Carers,

We are writing to inform you of an addition to our diary dates.

On Friday, we will be celebrating Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday and his incredible contribution to the natural world.

To mark this special occasion, we would like to invite children to come to school dressed in the colours of their favourite animal. For example, black and white for a panda, grey for an elephant, or bright colours for animals such as a tiger, parrot or butterfly.

Children are also welcome to bring in their favourite cuddly toy to share as part of the celebration.

This is not compulsory. Children are welcome to attend in full school uniform if they prefer, or they may choose to accessorise with something simple, such as an animal headband.

Throughout the day, we will hold an assembly about Sir David’s life and achievements, along with a range of related activities.
