What a wonderful end of term we have enjoyed. Christmas Lunch, Discos, Christmas Jumper Day, Celebrations with Nursery Singalongs, Reception to Year 2 Nativity Show and a Carol Service at St Peter’s Church today. We say a huge thank you to the children who worked so hard to learning lines, songs, actions and roles; thank you to staff too for all your hard work to make these wonderful memories.
Thank you to the secret elves for wrapping the Secret Santa presents – all were given to the children (whose parents had ordered through Scopay) on Wednesday.
Thank you to our parent helpers for supporting the disco, the children really enjoyed themselves; 3 years of waiting. From next term this will take place on the last day of school, during the school day to enable more children to come along.
I will be calling on the volunteers who offered to help with cataloguing the library in January.
All the children in school today have come home with a gift thanks to the generous donations organised by Dunelm. It is amazing that all customers bought gifts for the children, we had expected around 30 but had many many more to share and have popped the few extra things in the communal play areas for all to enjoy in the new year.
We raised an amazing £543.20 for BBC Children in Need in November. We are awaiting the final few pounds due for the Save the Children Christmas Jumper day (please pay on Scopay asap) but already have over £500. Thank you all for your generosity!
Today we say a sad farewell to Mrs Wade (Nursery 2) and in January a warm welcome to Mrs Hook (Nursery 2) and Mrs Neumann (Y4) who are both joining our team. We welcome Miss Griffiths too who has joined the Nursery 2 team as a Learning Assistant this term.
Children will take part in PE on the following days so will need their full PE kit on these days.
