Confirmation of next phase of school opening.

Dear Parents/Carers of Ash Grange Primary School,

Yesterday evening the government confirmed that the 5 key indicators had been met, it is the right time for the U.K to enter the next phase in the reopening of schools. So, the plan we communicated to you last Thursday will start from Monday 1st June 2020.

On Monday 1st June - the key worker groups that were in place before half term will continue as they had throughout the lockdown.

Any family who believe they are now part of this group must apply for a place through the office.  There are a very few limited places available now and applications will be processed from June 1st, if a space is available, we will let you know when your child can return to school.

The detailed plans of returning to school have been shared with those families who indicated that they wanted their children to return to school, please ensure you read that document carefully and abide by all the timings and conditions, so that we can minimise any risks.  Do not bring your child to school on any other day than they have been allocated.

Children will return in the following order:

Monday 1st June at 8.55am Year 1 Monday and Tuesday Group will return to school.

Tuesday 2nd June at 8.55am Year 6 Tuesday and Wednesday Group will return to school.

Thursday 4th June at 8.55am Year 6 Thursday and Friday Group will return to school.

Reception and Nursery timings for the week commencing 8th June 2020, will be confirmed by Wednesday 3rd June 2020.

Rotas have been organised on the returns we received and there are no additional places currently available, if this changes we will of course inform you.

I remind all parents that if a child or adult in the home has any symptoms, children must not come to school and families must follow the testing and self-isolation procedures.  Please contact the office to report any absence or use the online facility as normal.

We are delighted to be able to open more of the school to children but please prepare them for the careful, risk reducing environment that we have shared in the letter.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Curtis
