Well here we are at the end of a very weird week, lots of fun but too quiet in school. Thank you to everyone who joined in with this week’s challenges online – Nativity Scenes, Jokes, Pebbles and alternative 12 days of Christmas, they were a joy to read and comment on.
It has been wonderful that we have had no more cases reported since Monday. I thank everyone for keeping me informed and keeping themselves and others safe. Everyone who has tested positive has shared how they are doing, some no symptoms, some mild and a few who have been really poorly. Our Christmas prayer is for them all to recover quickly and totally.
For those who have been at school this week we have enjoyed lots of Christmas activities, cooking, making, filming, decorating. Today we had a Christingle Making Assembly for our end of term and as it was wet playtime we had a hot chocolate alternative – see the pics below.
Thank you to everyone who helped raise £265 for Christmas Jumper Day for the Save the Children charity.
If you live in Surrey under which our school comes, from Saturday 0.01am it moves to Tier 3. See image below.
During the holiday period, if a pupil or staff member tests positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), having developed symptoms within 48 hours of being in school (by Sunday 20th December), the school is asked to assist in identifying close contacts and advising self-isolation, as the individual may have been infectious whilst in school. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with the email header: Positive Covid Test so I can inform the health teams of any new cases linked to our Nursery or School.
All the staff and governors of Ash Grange do wish you all a merry and healthy Christmas; thank you for all your kind wishes to us. From all the children: https://youtu.be/4Ya7NitrsaU
See you on 5th January 2021.
