1) Website
Mrs Curtis shared lots of new features and sections on the website. Please take a look, the children have created art and wonderful work to share.
2) Anti-Bullying and Mental Health and Well-being Awards
Mrs Rumsby shared the awards that the school is working towards in recognition on all we do. Thank you to parents who are meeting assessors at the different events.
Mrs Curtis shared a leaflet that has been produced by the schools of Ash to help parents, carers and children understand what Anti-Bullying is and how school’s support children to not become a bully and to support anyone involved in bullying.
3) Y4 Hometime
Parents asked that Y4 and all classes come out more promptly at the end of the day. Mrs Curtis will address this with staff.
4) Parents waiting by the alley
Parents raised concerns about possible dangers for parents and children waiting at the end of the alley and running close to the road. There have been a number of near miss incidents and parents are reminded to supervise their children at all times.
5) Toilets
Mrs Curtis shared that the replacement of the Key Stage 2 toilets has begun. The children have chosen the designs and colours and are thrilled to be having new facilities. We have worked hard to afford this important change.
6) Parent Workshops
Mrs Curtis promoted the workshops for parents that are running:

7) Earwig System for Early Years
Parents enquired about the use of the system and Mrs Rumsby explained that the school is changing providers as there are too many limitations with the service. The new service will be shared after half term in February.
8) Communication Systems
We explore the current systems and usefulness of each.
9) Reception Class, Year 1 and 2G independent entry
Children need to learn to be more independent and should now be entering the locker areas alone, there is too much congestion. Members of staff will be at your classes entry point for any important messages and to supervise your children into school. If you want to talk to the teacher then book a meeting through the website www.ash-grange.surrey.sch.uk/ask-for-school-to-contact-parent or at the office, or catch them on the playground at hometime.
