Happy New Year and new decade to everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year holiday time.  The new term has begun with all the new learning projects beginning – Wows have been going on all over the school, see the details on your child’s class page Homework Section. 


Afterschool Clubs – all on TUESDAY night 3.20-4.15pm

Children will be choosing their Tuesday afterschool clubs in class next week, these are the choices:

Club and Year Bands


Arts and Crafts - all


Board Games and Puzzles - all


DT and Inventions - Key Stage 2


Key Stage 1 and 2 Multi-sports club – will include running, gymnastics, circuits, etc…


Computing Club - Y2-6


Construction Games e.g. Lego, KS1


Music Club



Please discuss the options with your child so that they can make an informed choice. Children who missed 2 or more club sessions last term will not be allowed to choose a club for the Spring term.

Nasal Flu Vaccination

The West Surrey Immunisation Team are offering catch up clinics at Goldsworth Park Health Centre until the end of March 2020. If you wish for your child to receive the nasal flu vaccine you can book an appointment at one of their clinics. Tel: 01483 728201 ext: 273


School Dinners

The cost of school dinners for the first half of spring term is £75.90 (33 days at £2.30). This is payable online at or by cash to the school office. School dinners must be paid in advance.


Primary School Admissions for September 2020

Parents of children born between 1st September 2015 and 31st August 2016, it is now time to apply for a Reception place for September 2020 at The closing date to submit your primary application is 15th January 2020.


Active Points

Points are being awarded this week for trackers, any child who achieves 5,000 earns 100 points for their team, 10,000 = 300 points and there is an extra 100 points for every additional 1,000 steps.  Get walking!



Eco Points

Next week is Week 2 - Recycling Week – Around school, children will gain points for putting recycling into the correct container in the recycling centre.  In the classroom, points are awarded for accurate use of recycling, repurposing and compost.  Also points are given if the class recycling paper has been used on both sides.
