Optional Parents/Carers meetings available this week. Please discuss with your child's teacher/key worker.

Monday

The whole school will be taking part in a picnic lunch together to remember Mr Redding (our former Site Manager).  I want to honour the anniversary of his death in a positive way and to allow the children space to share memories and talk about him, as they desire.

A picnic lunch will be available from the school kitchen for those who normally have a school dinner. There will not be a hot dinner option available. If the weather is bad, we will hold the picnic in the school hall.

The school kitchen picnic lunch options are a choice of Ham Wrap, Cheese Wrap or Tuna Wrap.

Space Chase, Summer Reading Challenge 2019 begins on Saturday 13th July!

During the summer holidays the school doors are locked. So, where are the children going to find lots of lovely books to read for FREE? At their local library! And to encourage their reading, the Reading Agency has once again organised The Summer Reading Challenge. The theme this year is, Space Chase, inspired by the 50th Anniversary of the moon landing. So get set for a thrilling mission with the ‘The Rockets’ family to track down books nabbed by mischievous aliens!

Being designed for all reading abilities, children can choose whatever books, audiobooks, comics, ebooks or eAudiobooks they like to complete the challenge. Every participant receives stickers and other incentives along the way and those who read six books are presented with a personalised certificate.

It is great fun, so why not go to your local library and help your child to enjoy his/her reading throughout the summer holidays. You could be pleasantly surprised at the difference it makes!
