Dear Parents/Carers,
With the government’s announcement that no further classes will be returning until September we have clarification and get plans in place. I am sure like me this resulted in a mixed bag of feelings, we are so missing all of our dear and precious pupils but know that it is not yet safe enough for everyone to return.
So now that we have Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 groups in, with the key worker plus 5 classes we are all full; until the distance restrictions change.
We are putting into place rest of the summer plan and the new school year in September plans.
Over this term these things will happen:
This week we are getting ready for Father’s Day, to give that important adult (Dad, Grandad, Brother, Uncle, Family Friend) a thank you gift. Come to school to get a Super Dad Bookmark and keyring to make at home ready for Father’s Day. There is a choice of designs first come, first served.
These are only for the children who do not come into school on any day of the week, as children in school for any part of the week are using school resources. Of course if there are any left at the end of the week the children in school will be welcome to have them too.
We are planning for a full return of all classes with some restrictions on mixing in school and reducing risks for adults and children. More details will follow when we know the government guidelines for that time.
We will be sending photos’ out of the class teams so the children know who their class teams are going to be. Details of the staff list for 2020-2021 were on last weeks newsletter.
This is Miss Gibbins last week as she prepares for her travels, we thank her for all her hard work, kindness and care of the children and community of Ash Grange and wish her every joy and happiness in the future.
Kindest regards, keep well
Mrs Curtis
