Christmas is well and truly here and we’ve had lots of lovely events this week and there are more to come next week. The school choir had a lovely time performing to the residents of Japonica court on Tuesday morning and brought Christmas joy to all. Secret Santa was run by the PTA so some of you have a little treat coming under the tree. We all enjoyed our Christmas lunch on Friday.
Next week is our official Christmas week, children can choose to wear Christmas clothing in place of a uniform item, jumpers, t-shirts, festive socks, tights, jewellery, hair accessories and nail varnish!
In years past the collection of children from school gets very hairy, to avoid this we are doing the following:
For the children not going to Panto, hometime will be at 3.20pm on the side playground at 3.20pm
There are two performances of the KS1 and Reception Nativity on Tuesday 17th December at 2.15pm and Wednesday 18th December at 9.30am. Every family is welcome to come and enjoy the event but please be aware that we have a limited capacity for the school hall and we will only be able to seat up to four members from a family. Entry is via the school hall door, down the drive.
All parents are invited to come to their child’s class and enjoy a Christmas sing song and treat.
Disco Tickets cost £2 and should be bought in advance to take advantage of the cheaper price; it is £2.50 for a ticket on the day.
Entry and exit via the school hall.
No cars to enter the car park so all safe for the children walking in and out of the disco.
9am at St Peters Church the choir and school will be singing carols and telling the Christmas story. This is a whole school event and all parents are welcome to attend, the more the merrier.
Morning Activities: Christmas activities for the whole school as all classes mix up together
Lunchtime: Whole School picnic lunch in the hall.
Afternoon:
Buddy Class present swap – each class has wrapped a small gift for their children in their buddy class and this is swapped at this time.

Please take note of the new restrictions and leave extra time to get in/collect from school.
This week is Not Wasting Energy Week – keeping heating off when not needed, opening windows if the heating is off, keeping doors closed at breaktime to keep the heating in, lights off when not needed, computers off when not needed.
Hopefully this important learning will help the children to reduce our wasted energy and yours at home.
