What a wonderful show we all enjoyed on Friday. The Year 3 children performed an assembly to make us think about what was important. The acting, narrating and singing was wonderful, well done to the children and staff team.
The children of the school shared their wonderful work in the Class Exhibitions, thank you to all those who came along to enjoy your child’s achievements.
We have trialled a Funzone till 4.30pm option this half term and it has been well received and used well so this will be a permanent feature. So there are 2 options for Funzone 3.15/3.20-4.30pm which costs £4 and has no meal or 3.15/3.20-6pm which costs £11 and has a meal.
A new school dinner menu starts on Tuesday 5th November (after half term holidays – INSET day on 4th November!). This is available to download at www.ash-grange.surrey.sch.uk/school-lunches/.
School photos are coming home this week. You can either purchase online, or alternatively drop off your completed envelope containing the correct payment, to the school office by Friday 8th November.
“Year 4 had two visitors on Wednesday, their names were Alex and Zoe who worked for Warburtons. They helped Year 4 to refresh their brains on the 5 different good groups. There are fruit and vegetables which give you vitamins, protein which gives you muscle and also dairy, fat and carbohydrates. After lunchtime, we went to Funzone and Alex and Zoe explained what we needed to do. We each took 2 slices of bread and then you could choose butter or mayonnaise for spreading and then 2 other things like cheese or ham. You could then choose as many vegetables as you wanted.”
Congratulations to both teams this week, who scored goals in both matches. Great team work by them all.
