Well I hope everyone is well and that the wind has not caused any damage to you or your property – I’m sure it is May…
I am so delighted that parents have been enquiring about the Music Lessons on offer, most questions have been about hiring instruments through school, we are able to loan them for up to 6 months so that you can see if your child will stick with the instrument before buying. Here are the details in case anyone missed it last week.
Would you like your child to learn an instrument? We have built links with a wonderful online provider called SAM, here is the link sammusicservice.com/schools-online/
The children do their lesson via a video lesson with an instrument specialist. The lessons are available for: Singing, Drum kit, Guitar, Ukulele or Piano/Keyboard.
Each lesson lasts 30 mins and costs £16.50.
As a school we would love to support the children having lessons and can provide a subsidy for lessons for the first half term and loan instruments or time with the drum kit after school. Parents can even use Childcare vouchers to pay for lessons.
If you would like to know more, pop on the website. If you would like to discuss support with lessons catch me on the gate or give me a call.
You may be aware that St Peter’s have a food bank available for families, which is currently running very low. If you are able to pop something into the bank please do so, or drop it in at the office and we’ll get it to them.

Full attendance is crucial and especially when the children have missed many school days this year. If you child is feeling a little unwell, it is still okay to send them to nursery or school. If you child becomes so unwell that they cannot learn, we will of course contact you to collect them.
Absence will be authorised for the following reasons:
If your child is absent for reasons other than those listed above, the absence would be marked as unauthorised.
Please remember to use holiday periods for holidays so that you will not incur a fine.
We appreciate that there are times when it is difficult to get your child to school but you as parent have a legal duty to do so every day, and this needs to be on time to ensure your child does not miss out on learning.
The current focus is on Team Work, here are the points so far for this year:
