As you are aware, we have had an outbreak of Covid 19 outbreak in Year 6 today, the 2 children have tested positive on lateral flows and we are awaiting confirmation by PCR. Year 6 will self-isolate for 10 days and have online lessons each day as we did in lockdown. None of the children who have tested positive attended Funzone in the last 2 days or were with any other class so no other classes/bubbles need to self-isolate at this time. Please monitor your children closely and be aware that one child had no symptoms and the other an upset tummy and temperature. I will of course update you with any more information as I receive it.
Thank you to everyone for supporting mufti day this week, the money is being used for the raffle prizes. Thank you to everyone selling and buying raffle tickets, please come to the office to drop off money and stubbs, and collect more books. All monies, ticket stubs and unsold tickets should be returned to the school office by Wednesday 14th July. The draw will take place on 16th July at the Year 6 evening performance.
The money will be used for new playground markings on the new playground area by Funzone and on the way into Year 3 and 4.
We normally have a class party with families bringing in food and drink to share but with the current restrictions on sharing food and the fact that the children will have a picnic lunch we are going to have a tuck shop for the children to enjoy.
Children throughout the Nursery and School can buy a bag of sweets 50p (a normal scoop size that we give at Tuck Sales), to enjoy at the class game/video session. Parents need to book these online through Scopay, there are gelatine and sugar free options available. Children cannot bring their own alternatives.

Due to the restrictions, we are unable to hold the Reception Induction evening on Wednesday 30th June at 7.30pm. Whilst it is not possible to hold this event, I want to reassure you that your child‘s transition into school is really important so that we can make sure they have the best start to school.
By now you will have received your child’s timetable where you are scheduled to visit Ash Grange in groups on Tuesday 29th June or Wednesday 30th June. During your visit you will meet with me, for a presentation where I will share information on the school procedures and systems. There will also be an opportunity to answer any questions you may have, and you will also receive part three of your child’s Induction Pack.
Your timetabled appointments in September will include a small group Phonics and Reading Workshop for parents with Mrs Mohammad our Early Years Leader whilst your child will be taken to Reception for their second visit.
I would like to assure you that everything covered during the Open Evening will be delivered across two sessions.
Remember to order your child’s meals two weeks in advance through www.scopay.com.
