Well we have enjoyed a sunny week and are so grateful that everyone remains well. The staff have been fantastic this week, providing learning at home and at school for the keyworker and vulnerable children. It’s been lovely touching base with families as they collect items over the week.
It is lovely to see what the children have been getting up to on the online platforms and through our Facebook page. Home Learning tasks are set each Monday and Thursday of the week, by the Classteacher and uses all the online platforms that we have in place for your children:
We still have 6 ipads available for hire, come to the school office Monday to Friday 8.45am-3.20pm to collect.
In addition, there are lots of great websites that are available, teachers and families are sharing ideas, we have added them to the class home learning page.
If you need any support with passwords or anything email the office team: email@example.com
To help parents communicate directly with their child’s Classteacher I have set up direct emails:
The emails are linked on the staff page of the website
Weekly Whole School Challenge
It was lovely to see approximately 50 families take part in our first week’s Whole School Challenge of Planting.
Next week we have a science kit for each family, from Monday 30.3.2020 pop into school on your daily walk to pick one up.
Remember to share pics through the Facebook page or send directly to the Classteacher through their email.
Special Education Needs
Ms Bicknell has emailed parents/carers of children with an IPP or EHCP with a couple of home targets and some linked resources to keep working on areas of need at home. She will send home additional targets/ideas every couple of weeks. If you have any questions email her on firstname.lastname@example.org
Free School Meals
The government have announced that they will be bringing a voucher scheme into operation, we wait to see how this will be organised and will let you know. We have spoken to the families who have been collecting this week to tell them the plans for next week.
The school will be open throughout the holidays for keyworker and vulnerable families. Parents/carers have been contacted to ask which days they require schooling.
If your circumstances change at any point in this closure, resulting in all adults in the home leaving to go to work then please let us know so we can provide a space for your child/children at school.
Please keep well and safe, remember to only travel if you need to and keep at least 2m apart and wash, wash, wash those hands.
Kind regards, Mrs Curtis
