What a wonderful week we have had, Key Stage 1 delighted us with their Nativity production, we danced and played games at the disco and then had the Christmas story sung and told to us by the Choir. What wonderful children we have and how blessed we are to have them at Ash Grange.
We took part in a lovely competition early in the month run by a local estate agency, Mackenzie Smith.
The winner was Sandra A in Year 5 and the Runner Up was Olivia F from 3H; the children won prizes; well-done you clever artists. You can view lots of Ash Grange entries in their window in the village.
The cost of school dinners for the first half of spring term is £75.90 (33 days at £2.30). This is payable online at www.scopay.com or by cash to the school office. School dinners must be paid in advance.
If you have not yet finalised your payment for this terms Funzone, please ensure you return this to the office or pay online as soon as possible. Without payment you will be unable to book for next term.
Booking for next term’s Funzone is already open. As spaces book up quickly please ensure you return your form to the office as soon as possible. Alternatively book online at www.scopay.com
Please be aware that the HM Government childcare voucher scheme does not inform the school when a payment has been made. Please send the amount paid, date of payment and your child’s name to funzone@ash-grange.surrey.sch.uk so that the payment can be applied to your account in a timely manner.
Parents of children born between 1st September 2015 and 31st August 2016, it is now time to apply for a Reception place for September 2020 at www.surreycc.gov.uk/admissions. The closing date to submit your primary application is 15th January 2020.
Community Stay & Play starts again on Wednesday 8th January at 1.30pm.
Please be aware that, due to cars parking on both sides of the road outside the school at drop off/pick up time, the Council have decided to extend the existing double yellow lines (no waiting at any time) on Ash Church Road. Please take note of the new restrictions and leave extra time to get in/collect from school
The first week back after Christmas is a “container” week, Eco points are awarded for every repurposed container used.

In case anyone wants to book a holiday I have organised the next school year’s INSET dates, I know it is soon but it really helps families to play breaks and avoid penalty fines.
