This half-term, we have learned about the Victorians. We were lucky enough to go to the Reading Museum and Schoolroom to experience what school and working life would have been like for Victorian children.
Hola Mexico
Spring 1
To launch our new topic, Hola Mexico, we tried traditional foods from Mexico while listening to Mariachi music. Then we made our very own sombreros!
Day of the Dead Masks
We recreated the Day of the Dead masks we learned about in Art using powder paints.
A Child's War
Autumn 2
To launch our new topic we looked at - and even tried on - some World War 2 memorabilia!
Bread Bread Bread!
We tasted a range of breads before baking our own! Look at our cooking process and final products.
Make Do and Mend
We learned about the Make Do and Mend campaign in WW2 and used this principle to make our own pencil cases from recycled shirts!
Frozen Kingdom!
Autumn 1
To launch our topic, Frozen Kingdom, we went on a journey on board the Titanic and explored the different classes in Virtual Reality. Luckily, we made it off before she sunk!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
