Dear Parents/Carers

This term, Y1 to Y5 classes trialled using Maths Homework books instead of using the online platform of Mathletics.  Following our surveys of parents - thank you to those who gave feedback about their thoughts and preferences - as well as the pupils and teachers, the results show that overall, the books are a preferred choice.

Therefore, we will continue using the books in September for Y1 to Y6.  All children will be given a new book at the start of the new academic year which they will be expected to look after throughout the year.  The homework book links directly to the maths teaching that week and teachers will give further details when it is set each week.

Today, children from Y1-Y5 will be bringing their current work books home.  As we started them mid-year, there are plenty of unused pages near the beginning that you could practice and use with your child over the summer holidays to keep their maths brains fresh!
