Dear Parent/Carer, 

We would like to provide an update regarding our Fun Zone extended session.

As we do at the start of every academic year, we are currently running the extended session five days a week. This means families have the opportunity to book Breakfast Club, half sessions and extended sessions from Monday to Friday. The availability of these sessions will be reviewed at October half term.

Currently, demand for the extended session is very low on at least three days of the week. For us to continue offering the extended session, we require a minimum of five children to attend each day.

At present, we are not reaching this number on three days per week and are therefore reviewing whether the extended session is needed on those days. If attendance does not increase over the coming weeks, we may need to withdraw the extended session on the affected days. A final decision will be made at the beginning of October.

We wanted to give families advance notice of this possibility. If you would like to see the extended provision continue, please ensure that you book and make use of the service whenever it is needed.

Please be reassured that Fun Zone will continue to operate from 7:45am to 4:30pm, five days a week, regardless of any changes to the extended session. It is only the additional provision after 4:30pm that is currently under review.
