Harvest Appeal: Can You Help Us Reach Our 400 Item Challenge?

Dear Parents and Carers,

As part of our Harvest celebrations, we are once again supporting our local food banks in Ash and Farnham. The donations collected will go directly to families and individuals in our local community who are experiencing hardship and need additional support.

Each year, we set ourselves a challenge. With over 400 children and staff at Ash Grange Nursery and Primary School, we would love to achieve our 400 Item Challenge by encouraging every family in our school community to donate just one item. So far we have 64 items.

If every family brings a single item, together we can make a huge difference.

We would be grateful for donations of:

  • Tinned potatoes

  • Long life juice

  • Pasta, rice and noodles

  • Long-life milk

  • Rice

  • Tinned fruit and vegetables

  • Other long-life cupboard essentials

Donations can be placed in the collection box at the front of the school, near the school office, and we ask that all items are brought in by Friday as the items will be collected after assembly on Friday 16th October.

Let's see how close we can get to our 400 Item Challenge and make a real difference to those who need our support.

We will also be holding a cake sale in support of the Nepal Flood Disaster Fund. Following devastating flooding at the end of the summer, Nepal has sadly experienced further severe flooding this weekend. We are keen to continue supporting communities affected by these disasters.  Please bring in cake donations by Thursday morning and then cakes will be ready to buy after school on Thursday. If making cakes, please remember no nuts and list any ingredients for families to be aware of in case of allergies.

To make our contribution go even further, Ash Grange will match-fund every pound raised through the cake sale, doubling the value of the donation sent to support this important work.

On Friday morning, Year 3 will be presenting their Harvest Assembly, helping us all to reflect on what Harvest means around the world and why it remains such an important time for giving thanks and supporting others.

Thank you, as always, for your generosity and support. Together, we can make a meaningful difference both within our local community and beyond.

Kind regards,
