Year 1

Welcome to our Year 1 page where you can find out more about what is happening in our class.

Year 1 has PE on Mondays and Thursdays. Children should wear their PE kit to school these days.

Worry Form It can feel scary to have a worry and it helps to talk it through and work out how to manage this worry. You can talk to a trusted adult, sibling or friend at home or at school. You can call Childline too on 08001111. Do you have a worry that you need to share with an adult at school? if so complete this form or talk to an adult at school as soon as you can. If you fill in this form it will go to Mrs Curtis and she will come and talk to you about it the next day you are in school.

Someone is not safe If you or someone you know feels scared or frighted by someone else, we are here to help. You can talk to a trusted adult at home or at school. You can call the Police on 999 or Childline too on 08001111. If you fill in this form, it will go to Mrs Curtis and she will come and talk to you about it as soon as she can.

Superheroes!

Here are some ideas for your child's project homework. Try one of these or something else project related.

Project homework is due on Friday 6^th February 2026.

Make your own Superhero - give them a name, powers and a cool costume.
Make some Super Veggies like Supertato (or Super Carrot!)
Find out about some real superheroes – police officers, firefighters, doctors or nurses.
Make a fact file of Mary Seacole or Florence Nightingale.
Make a Super Hero vehicle from Lego or junk modelling.
Write an acrostic poem using the word S U P E R H E R O.
Plan a meal fit for a superhero – what do they need to stay healthy and have lots of energy?
Make a Superhero comic strip story.
RE topic – find out about the 5 pillars of Islam or make a prayer mat using geometrical shapes.
