Children's Wellbeing Parent Workshops

YMCA East Surrey’s Community Wellbeing Team invites you to attend our free online parent workshops.

These workshops will be held on Zoom and are suitable for parents with children aged 8+. Our Community Wellbeing team will provide you with information and key strategies to support your child. There will also be time for you to ask any questions that you have via the online chat function. Each workshop runs once a month.

Helping your child be their best

Active Surrey will run this workshop in conjunction with YMCA East Surrey’s Community Wellbeing Team, giving tips on how to help your child reach their potential physically and mentally. Learn about the Tree of Wellbeing and the links to activity, nutrition, hydration and sleep.

Dates of the workshops will be:

Thursday 19 January 2023 | 18:30-19:30

Theatre Foundations

A Musical Theatre School running on Monday evenings in Ash, teaching all three disciplines of Musical Theatre (singing, dancing and acting) in one class, held each week. The classes are fun and vibrant, designed to help your individual child’s needs, whether they need a little help to grow their confidence on stage, to make new friends, or even to help them to become more confident in social situations – all the while learning the skills and techniques needed to perform on stage. New 5-11Y class starting in January 2023!

Forest Kids

I have been approached by a group starting a wonderful opportunity for our children aged 5-11. It runs fortnightly on a Saturday morning for children to have fun in the forest with lots of activities.  There are pick up and drop places, including the One Stop nearby. Please have a look at the flyers and see if this is something your child would enjoy.

If you would like support to complete the application on their website at https://forestkids.org.uk/.
