Induction

Every child and family is thoroughly inducted into Nursery and School at whatever stage they join. There are a number of ways we support the child and family by meeting with the Headteacher, Class teacher and the family/Key person. We also liaise with your child's previous setting to support the process.

For in-year transfers from other schools: Families meet with Mrs Curtis to discuss needs and requirements. A school tour is provided by the admin team. Children are inducted by the Classteacher with a programme of support and adjustment.

For New to Reception Class children:

Once you have accepted your child's place you will receive an invitation to attend a June Evening Meeting - this is an information event to ensure parents have all the information that is needed for their children starting school in September.

At this event you will receive all the dates of your upcoming induction visits and all the information you require before starting Reception Class.
