On behalf of Guildford Borough Council, please find the information below regarding the Ash Road Bridge.

Ash Road Bridge – Vehicle Restraint System installation

Network Rail is closing the railway line over this weekend, so we will use this opportunity to install the Vehicle Restraint System over the new bridge between 8pm Saturday 14 September and 5am Monday 16 September.

We will be drilling into the new bridge to install the steel fencing, so you may experience some noise overnight and throughout the weekend. Noise levels are being monitored from locations on site, and acceptable levels have been agreed with Guildford Borough Council, as the local environmental health authority.

Please note that Network Rail is anticipating a large number of deliveries by road during the closure. Please check the National Rail website for more information.
