Dear Parents/Carers,
There seems to be a lot of chatter on social media regarding attendance. The government have increased what is expected from schools in relation to attendance which was communicated at the start of the term, here is the link to the regulations. All parents are held accountable for their child’s attendance. All absence must be reported and after four days medical evidence is required. Even our Nursery children are subject to these regulations.
Some parents are finding these changes difficult and are being verbally aggressive to the admin team when challenged to explain absence, this is not acceptable and will not be tolerated. Also, others are using social media to vent their frustrations at being held to account. Consider the effect this is having on people and the reputation of the school.
