Dear Parent/Carer, 

We are excited to be invited to the Guildford & Waverley "Junior Citizen" Child Safety Event in June 2025. This interactive event is designed to teach essential life skills, helping children stay safe and make responsible choices in everyday situations.

What is Junior Citizen?
Junior Citizen is a multi-agency safety event aimed at Year 6 children (10 to 11 years old). It provides children with the knowledge and confidence to keep themselves and others safe, especially as they prepare for greater independence and the transition to secondary school. Through engaging, hands-on activities, the event raises awareness of potential risks and dangers in a fun and interactive way.

📍 Venue: Guildford Spectrum Leisure Complex, Parkway, Guildford GU1 1UP

💰 Cost: £13.20 per child (to cover transport and event costs)
 

During the event, representatives from Emergency Services and local agencies will guide children through various real-life safety scenarios, helping them develop important skills for everyday situations.

We believe this will be a valuable experience for your child, and we encourage their participation.

Children will need to bring a packed lunch for the trip. If your child requires a school-provided packed lunch, please inform on the consent form on scopay.
