Years 1 to Year 6 Sports Day – Wednesday 22nd May 2024
Dear Parents/Carers,
Our School Sports Day will be on Wednesday 22nd May 2024. Reception and Nursery classes will have their events in the morning from 10:45am to 11:45am. Years 1-6 from 1:00pm to 3:15pm.
Sports Day is a fun and active day that allows children to experience friendly competition both as an individual and within a team. The ethos of our Sports Day is enjoyment and participation for all, and we expect every child to play a full and active role in the day. Children will take part in a range of fun, multi-skill activities that will challenge their strength, speed, agility, and coordination. They will also participate in more traditional track and field events.
Uniform and Equipment: Children will need to wear their PE kit and suitable sporting footwear. They can also accessorise with items matching their house colour (e.g., hair bands, caps, wrist bands, socks, etc.). Children will also need to bring a water bottle and sun hat. Please apply sun cream before school.
Parent/Carer Support: These events are an open invitation for all parent/carers to attend and we look forward to seeing you there. Please access the school field via the gate at the bottom of the staff car park at 1pm (please note that there will be no onsite parking available).
Toddler race, time permitting we will have a race for the much younger siblings to enjoy, with big brothers and sisters helping them out.
For Years 1-6 parents/carers, time permitting, we will have a parent race at the end of the afternoon. Please wear your trainers if you would like to take part!
Please ensure you follow the Parent and Supporters Code of Conduct for Sports and stay within the designated visitor areas.
Home time: Please collect your child from the school field at 3: 15/3.20pm. Children will not be allowed to leave early. If your child is attending Funzone they will be taken to this by staff.
